So how was the Algarve ?
You banged on about it enough before you went, what was it like then ?

Brilliant, loved every minute of it. Got to know a couple of new Golfshakers and reaffirm friendships with others. Got to play rounds with everyone and had the privelidge of going out in the last group on the last two days to see how pressure golf was really played. The greens on the last couple of days were fast (compared to here), never seen so many nervous putts from above the hole on the last day. Mostly stunning courses, beautifully prepared.
Great to get a bit of sun on my face and play in shirt sleeves. Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

Just negotiating with the other half about whether we both go or not. If not hoping to make it on my own

Did you not hear?
The entire party got arrested on arrival in Portugal.
They got seven days in jail and then deported back to the UK.
I think the charge was fraud as when they went through customs they all said they were golfers! And were promptly arrested.

They know I'm only joking... lol
Probably just a slight touch of jealousy.
Hopefully I'll be getting arrested along with them next year.

I managed to drag them all down to my level by the end of the week. Loads of highlights too numerous to mention. If we meet up there next year Russel you can buy me a drink in the local bar at happy hour - I'll have the 6.5 litre glass!

I actually 4 putted for the first time ever (at least since I started keeping stats) on the 10th at Gramacho - even more galling as I was the only one to hit the green in our group. Will be interesting to see how I get on tomorrow with slow UK greens....

Tim, I'll buy one of them next year if I'm there, how many straws does it take?
