Curing push/slice

Posted by: user8 [FORUM MODERATOR] | Mon 25th Sep 2006 20:32 | Last Reply

Help ? any advice ?

Just about managed to control my irons by focusing on going through the ball and ensuring I didn't have lazy wrists.

Nothing I could do about the driver though :-(

'Bendus rightus', yes that's right ! :-)

Off to the range tomorrow before I play in a society day on Sunday, so will see what I can do.

Admittedly I do swing too fast but I've tried slowing it down and it goes completely pear shaped

Darren.

Tempo, balance, composure ! that is the cure.

Plus don't get wrapped up in trying to do 100 things right, your mind goes to a blur !

Well that was the outcome at the range last night. Let's see how it goes on Sunday !

best cure for wayward drives is to have a lesson from a pro. i could'nt hit the side of a bus till i had a lesson from our club pro a couple of months ago, now i make 50 to 60 % of fairways.now i've only got to sort out my woods, irons, wedges, and putter.

Yep, I tend to have the same prob and also swing too fast.

After a bit of analysis at the range I too also put itd own to the grip primarily caused by being lazy on the down swing and not getting my hands through. By slightly altering my grip it seems to have fixed part of my problems
