New Golfer & Loving it!

Posted by: user104174 | Mon 27th Oct 2008 22:19 | Last Reply

Hi folks, I've been lurking about on here browsing the site, very nice and friendly may i add.

I've only been playing golf for around 6 months at the ripe old age of 37, very late starter!

I did play a couple of rounds when i was a lot younger but never really kept it up.

As i said I'm just getting started so my scores aren't any good, probably hitting an average round of about 100 or so on a Par 72.

My best round was last week at Torrance House in East Kilbride, I hit a 91 but that was with winter greens, had a couple of nightmare holes, but did par a few and even got a birdie!

I have played Biggar, Strathclyde Park (Local), Torrance House, Larkhall, Deer Park and Aberfoyle so far this year and am looking forward to next years golf already.

Sorry for droning on.

Regards

Barry

Welcome aboard Barry.

If you're shooting low 90's already, who cares if you play cack-handed!  You'll probably lose a little distance, but golf is a feel game and you have to do what is right and comfortable for you - don't try to force something.  The issue with your driver is something many golfers suffer with and is down to your swing more than your cack-handedness.
