Just found out about Golfshake a few weeks ago and it's turned out to be a great resource! Looking forward to learning more. I've been golfing off and on since I was 11 (I'm 44 now) and want to take some time and improve my game and leave my "hacker" status behind.
I live in Illinois, northwest suburbs of Chicago, and get out to play about 10-15 times every summer. Right now we're watching the days get shorter and the nights colder, so our golfing days for 2008 are definitely numbered.

Welcome to the madness John. Been to the Lake Michigan area around the winter months a few times (Chicago, Rockford and Grand Rapids MI) and I don't blame you for not playing in winter. There are times when the lake effect kicks in that you wouldn't want to play in summer either!
