What the........#1

Just watched the highlights of the World Matchplay.  J B Holmes on the 17th took two to overshoot the pin by 6 yards!  It's a 603 yard par 5!  Second shot was a 4 iron off the fairway a tad over 250 yards to pass the pin.  Wah!

603 yards to the front of the green? he drove the tee shot over 350 yards???

Yep, he landed just past the sprinkler head at 357 yards.

And he had a nasty goatee beard

Chris your right, but really you gotta still admit its fantastic just being able to hit the ball that far- i like JB hes got some serious talent, maybe its simply the presure of playing against tiger that got to him , although the putts tier sank were just next level.

ihaha check this id probably be 200 to 220yards off the tee (right side on ruff - fore) 3 wood 170yards (if im lucky), another 3 wood 170yards (if im lucky again) dam 4th shot with a pitching wedge then !!  oh dear - you gotta love this game

They are playing a game with which I am not familiar.

I thought we all could do that?  Just me then.........

What I find strange about Holmes is he hits it so far with a half swing, what could he manage if he gets the club paralel or angry....

Mind you, Tiger Woods' tee shot on the same hole was a rather limp wristed,  330 yard, 3 wood.  Lightweight.
