Handicap

Posted by: user565805 | Sun 16th Mar 2014 14:32 | Last Reply

Hi

Just wondering how the handicap calculator works, I'm new to Golf only having started at the end of December. I'm a 28 handicapper, the target score shown for a 27 handicap in my goals and targets screen is 98, I scored a 97 today and my last 5 rounds show an average score of 96.8 but my handicap is still 28. I guess I'm missing something, can any one let me know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

H Adrian.

The handicaps are adjusted based on the courses which can differ in terms of par & SSS etc - the targets scores are just average benchmarks.

The course SSS will be the final determination of how your handicap gets adjusted. You can find more info here:

Any other questions just let me know.

Regards, Darren.

Thanks, Darren.

That makes sense, the course I have been learning on has a low SSS so I still have a way to go :-)
