How Far is Your Regular Course

Just wondering on average how far we all travel to our regular course.

Mine is 21 miles away and roughly 1/2 hour journey in the car. To get there I pass at least 3 other courses and also have other courses closer to me - the reason is I like the course I play.

Would not want to travel any further though on a regular basis but do a society comp once a month which can be up to an hour away..

Mine's about a 20min drive (@7:00am) & I also pass about 3 others on the way but my reason is that the other people I play with all live within 5mins of the course.

I also travel longer distances once a month for comps etc.

I tavel 14 miles ,pass 1 course,local course £45 the one i use £20

About 3 miles which is less than the distance i take round the course approx 12 miles. Army golf stylee

I have three courses within five minutes of my home, but travel 30 mins to get to my Club which has a thriving roll-up on a Monday and Thursday and where I can get a buggy for £5.

Mine is about 28 miles away. takes about 45 minutes to get there. I pass at least 3 courses on the way but none with any space for new members. Plus, my course has two 18's and an academy 9 hole. Plus range, large practice facility and hotel.

 I like it!!!

I've just got rid of the car and I'm currently cycling 3 miles to my course with my bag on my back! I pass one course on the way which is a stones throw from my house but is ridiculously overpriced. After I've played I cycle all the way back.

How I miss the car        :-(

Mine is about 10 mins away from home and about 5 mins from work. Great when I finish work at 3 in the summer and teeing off by 10 past. I hate it when the clocks go back :-(

Just out of curiosity I did a course search from my postcode and was pretty amazed when I got the following:

3 courses within 5 miles

24 courses within 10 miles

43 courses within 15 miles

62 courses within 20 miles

I've got a feeling that that's quite a lot (from my parents address it's 2, 7, 18 and 27 respectively), any one else care to try?
