Well done, but that's the problem with this game John. You've got one now, and next time the opportunity arises and you miss it you'll beat yourself up about it. And then it'll be the first run of pars with a birdie thrown in. Then an eagle.

As Tim says, it goes on and on. I was annoyed at missing an eagle putt today (I blame a hollowtine hole for a bobble!) and I've only had two before!

Welcome to the "Only 1 Birdie Club!" - Mine was really a huge surprise, as it came on a 248 yd dog-leg Par 4. A reasonable tee shot comfortably over the ditch at about 120 yds out. The 6 Iron drive into green was a bit short and wide, leaving a circa 40 yd pitch over bunker onto the green from short rough grass. Could hardly believe my luck when it went up and dropped on the green and bounced and rolled straight in! Had a few birdie putt or chip chances since, but so far not managed to nail one, so hopefully it will happen again sometime, soon please! Good luck for your next one.
