NR's

Posted by: user57485 | Thu 8th Nov 2007 13:24 | Last Reply

The reason I ask is that I played my first ever medal on Sunday. I'm a 28 handicap and shot 113....... 85 nett.

During the usual beers after the round I thought a couple of times about tearing up my scorecard but I finally decided to hand it in none the less. Other than 4 very bad holes in which I made some real stupid decisions I actually didnt play that bad and points wise would have scored quite well.

It hasn't put me off playing in future medals and needless to say I've learnt alot from the round of golf.

So honestly then who would have NR'd and who would have handed the card in?

They obviously know talent when they see it.

I've only just started to play in comps this year, [senior comps being an old git ] and regularly come last  or second last, but above those who N.R. and perhaps this will encourage them to submit scores. also in the future if i should have an abnormally good round the handicap committee can look at my past record and not punish me to severly
