Played twice in the last year....it's killing me
Hi guys,
due to a buyout at my work which has taken over a year so far (hope to be completed by end of year)and was originally mant to only be a few months at most. I've only played twice in the last 12 months
As i was/am unsure of if I'll have a job or not I couldn't renew my membership at the start of the end of last year.
It has been killing me...although with the weather we have had this summer it was probably less of a loss due to the wash outs.
One question I have is when/if I'm able to rejoin somewhere will my previous h/c still be my valid one?

Sorry to hear of your troubles at work, Lewis, hope it resolves itself in the end to your satisfaction. It has been a relatively poor summer for golf but any golf is worth having. Good luck next year.

Your previous handicap will stay the same only if you join/rejoin a club within 6 months of relinquishing membership. If more than 6 months have elapsed, you will have to go through the process of submitting the minimum 3 cards for a new handicap. You have to disclose your previous handicap history which must be taken into account when awarding the new handicap.
