Golfers in the North West

Is there anyone near to Liverpool that can help? I have just moved to the area from Lichfield as the better half lives and works here and couldn't get a transfer through work. I am still a member at Beau Desert so can't really afford to join anywhere else at the moment and would like to meet and play with anyone who enjoys a competitive but fun round of golf. Current handicap is 14 and can play most week days? Cheers
