Weekend Golf
The one I have been waiting for. Saturday morning see's us heading off to Crook for a Society comp. Great challenging hilly course with mustard greens and good company. My pre tourney favourite (Golf shakes very own Tony Dunne) is heading for some sneaky practice Thursday evening to iron out his strategy for the main event...As for me, it will be steady away just enjoying the day and hopefully my buddies victory...
So what's everyone else up to.....

Nothing much planned - played yesterday at my home club and shot a very pleasing 81. Played another nine as well afterwards (27 holes - enjoyed it actually)
Playing Hill Valley, Whitchurch tomorrow night - a short good for working on the short game. Wedding on the Saturday and then playing Sunday at home for a relaxing round probably with a hangover.
Good luck for the tournament.

Playing the Arden course today & then my local course on Sunday which is a matchplay comp. I always do better in matchplay than medal or stableford, don't know why it's the same swing etc.

Playing in my first Club Championships at Frome GC, Somerset on Saturday. 36 holes, so a test of endurance as well as golf...particularly as the weather don't look to good i.e. WET (again)
Anyway looking forward to it and I am due a good round or two (been hitting the ball well, but not posting a score) so who knows this might be the weekend it all comes together...just need to keep it on the course off the tee as Frome has little room for error and see how I go...practice this week was good...with a handicap of 25 which I know I can play better than i may even have a chance...
....or is this just all wishful thinking...
Not been thinking about it this at all have I...?

Of course you can have a putting lesson Tony mate - only to happy to help. As for my chances, I don't know. It is a tough little course but I am focussed and up for it...
