Nice course and layout but soaking
Enjoyed the course, reasonable challenge and some great views and good holes. Greens wee in good condition for time of year but the rest of the course was absolutely soaking, I understand that a lot has been done to improve the drainage etc but it was still really wet, me and my playing partner lost a lot of balls from them simply plugging wherever they landed. Shame as other than that really enjoyed the course and facilities.Reviewer Rating

A much improved course
I last played in 2019 and found the course has improved considerably. The fairways are now cut much wider . The first cut is more forgiving and the rough is now playable!,\Greens were excellent and fast. Bunkers sadly quite poor with no faces and atrocious sand more like builders then bunker sand.\Clubhouse facilities were excellent but it is more of a social venue than a golf centred facility.\ I recommend a return visit to anyone who enjoys golf with beautiful view to the western fellsReviewer Rating

The clubhouse is excellent, provding superb facilities for both members and vistors as well as an impressive bar area with friendly and helpful staff.
Always liked the course so my opinion hasn't changed. It's got plenty of variation and challanges, although it just seemed to eat balls when they strayed into the rough...
Overall a great course with a great modern clubhouse and although it was busy, there's plenty of room between holes to ensure your not playing on top of each other.
