Narrow fairways , great course
Course in fantastic condition, greens lovely, course in very good condition, well kept - would reccomend this is played after a few rounds - wouldn't play cold on this course otherwise you will be replacing your ball stockReviewer Rating

Stunning but brutal
West Cliffs is a must play course an hour outside Lisbon. Beautifully presented but very difficult. Greens fast & very undulating. The are a number of long carries in order to reach the fairways which can lead to many lost balls. We played off the 55 tees but when we go back we will move to the 51's which will make it more playable. be warned - unless you can comfortable carry over 200 yards off the tee, then swallow your pride & play the forward tees.Reviewer Rating

fantastic course that proves you don't need to go to the Algarve to find great golf in Portugal. It's mighty tough though, so don't let your ego get in the way of tee box selection. The stretch 3-8 is a right challenge - miss the fairway and you're plating out of dreaded ice plants. Greens are very undulating so hope to catch them when they are not cut too tight. The 18th is a fabulous finishing hole, downhill, drive off scrubland then you need to negotiate water and sand!

This course is in amazing condition and the views are absolutely stunning. It's a great test of golf with beautiful scenery. The price is reasonable and it's easy to get tee times. I would highly recommend this course to anyone.

This golf course is amazing! The layout is great, with tricky but rewarding holes, and the condition of the course is immaculate. The views are superb, and the course is reasonably priced and easy to get tee times. The clubhouse is also great, and the whole experience was very natural and not too manicured. Definitely worth a visit!

Very NIce Course
Fantastic views, great course and nice people. Had a pretty good round but the weather was kind. I am told that when its windy it can be a nightmare, but still fun to play. Lovely club house and excellent staff.Reviewer Rating

Must be Played
Both my wife and I had very good rounds on West Cliffs, although we played well, I have given it a Hard rating as I can imagine it could be a bit of a nightmare if the Atlantic winds came into play. The staff were great and very helpful, the facilities top notch, and the views quite amazing.Reviewer Rating

Perfect!!
Wow! Played here end of April. Weather was a bit breezy but sun was shining. The view from first tee was breathtaking and rather scary! Sand and cabbage everywhere ! Luckily my driver was having a straight day! 1st 9 done 24 points .... back 9 different story tricky dog legs ,blind shots and lots of sand and cabbage!!! Couse is layed out over a massive area so buggy is recommended. Definitely coming back !Reviewer Rating

Lovely course
Great value at 55 euro and Formosa lovely pair when played with Praia d’El Rey down the road. Very enjoyable combination(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 94 Handicap: 20)

Nothing short of stunning in all aspects. The course is of the absolute highest quality. It’s as interesting as it is immaculate start to finish (it is however extremely difficult - do not even attempt a medal score round here unless you’ve got you’re A+ game with you). Facilities are up their with the best you’ll find anywhere. Absolute must play!!

Jewel in the crown
Imaculate course and very challenging. You have to drive well to carry over the scrub/bushes so take the marshalls advice and chose the right tee to play off. Some insane blind holes and very tricky dog legs. 18th is a signature hole. Be prepared to be paired up at busy time. Quite expensive but worth it. Nice club house and facilities.Reviewer Rating

West Cliffs-a tough new course
West Hills was voted the best new course in 2018 but it remains a tough challenging test of golf especially off the white tees.......I am only imagine the golf that one has to play off the black tees, which are further back. There are some rally testing holes especially the par 5s and their indices are not generous. Even the par 3s will fully test you. Enjoy this major golfing challenge.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 101 Handicap: 22.9)

Terrific course
This course has only been open for play for about 14 months and yet it's in tremendous condition and a delight to play, using the natural contours of the land beautifully. The contoured greens, and the fairways were immaculate. There are perhaps two holes of questionable design but many are outstanding. It's essential to keep on the cultivated stuff as a visit into the scrubland will almost inevitably mean a lost ball. The views are wonderful with the sea visible from every hole and the excellent clubhouse. As yet there is little in the way of housing development but the plans show this will come and I hope it doesn't spoil the current ambience. It is a physical course to play with some long walks between holes. We played off the yellow tees in a 2 club wind in 26 degrees heat and those who walked, carrying or with a push trolley, were pretty washed out at the end. As four 12 handicappers we got round in 4 hrs 40. Though disliking buggy golf, I would use one or at least an electric trolley if I play there again. I doubt it's a course for 20+ handicappers.If it isn't already, it will become one of the must-play experiences in Portugal.

fantastic course, one of the best
Great layout in gorgeous scenery. Every hole is interesting, the greens are close to perfection. Quite tough as most balls off the fairways are lost, there are also some long carries. I enjoyed every moment og it.Reviewer Rating

Awesome golf in a stunning location
West Cliffs is an outstanding venue and the course is an absolute treat to play. Pretty much every hole is stunning in its own right and there are lots of interesting features such as sand dunes in the middle of fairways and an old-school redan green.All of the facilities are top notch and it’s tough to think of a better view than that from the clubhouse which looks over the course and beyond to the sea. I loved playing this course!
