Work in progress?
Obidos seems a golf resort in progress. The clubhouse is underwhelming and the course is good, worth playing but unmemorable. Our round took well over five hours to complete.Reviewer Rating

A must play
Great course close to both West Cliffs & Praia d'el Rey. Was in excellent condition. Greens the best i have played this year so make sure you have your short game on song. Will definitely play again the next time we are in the area.Reviewer Rating

Royal Obidous superb in nice conditions
This course is really challenging but was the best I've ever played it in really benign conditions. The fairways were well maintained and the bunkers had loads of sand in them. The greens were really good and the pace of play was nice and quick for 14 holes but the slower pace from there home cost me (or at least that's my excuse). I love the par 5s and was really disappointed with myself on the long 12th hole par 4 Index 2, a hole I normally love, as it takes planning. Staying on fairway is key if you're not a big hitter or a risk taker. The par 3s were lovely to play and I got a bonus of a birdie on the 8th with a two foot putt that at other times might be a gimme. Really enjoyable.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 100 Handicap: 22)

Really tough course
This course was tough regardless of the tee box selected. It was really long, taking 5 shots to reach par 5 greens. The course was in really good condition and those that enjoy a challenging championship course will enjoy this course.Reviewer Rating
