The best of the courses in Marrakech that we played. It's set away from any population and is like a resort golf course but I enjoyed playing this course. It was in the best condition of any golf course I'd played, everything was manicured to perfection.

This course is fantastic, the condition of the greens , fairways and tees were excellent (March). The caddies (included for £10-£15) were very knowledgeable and had a decent level of English - certainly better than my French! The layout is very challenging but fair, it is however quite a long course. I really could not fault the experience.

Nice course worth playing

First time playing Samanah in Marrakesh. Well worth playing for sure. Great clubhouse, friendly well stocked pro shop. Good practice facilities. Course in good condition, quite open. Green good if a little slow compared to other courses. Like most courses quite flat but a fair walk around, consider buggies if weather hot like it was for us. Well worth playing for sure if visiting Marrakech. On the return list

Very good course

The condition of the course was immaculate. The fairways and greens very well kept and there was evidence of green staff around the course albeit unobtrusively throughout.
However, the marshalling staff were pleasant to men but quite rude to our lady members. Beware that if you take a trolley you must take a caddy. We took buggies and caddies were not compulsory if you had a buggie. It is fairly flat so you could walk the course, although it is long.
Quite busy because it really is one of the nicest courses in the area.

Definitely worth a visit

Visited Samantha GC on 19/12/18. Course was in very good condition generally, but the greens were fantastic, very difficult to read and nothing is a ?gimme?. All staff were friendly and my son and I had a great day.
There is a fair amount of building going on around the course but this does not detract from the experience here. Worth saying that the weather was fantastic, must have been 24/25 centigrade throughout.
A great game sprinter and worth a visit.

This course is quite a long way out from Marrakech (35 mins in the taxi) toward the Atlas Mountains. Great views if the weather doesn't cloud them out. Must be one of the longest drive ways into a golf course ever!

We spent some time on the putting green, only to find that whilst the greens on the course were quite fast, they were not AS fast as the putting green! There are some long holes on Samanah. We only played from yellows, and that was longer than my home course from the medal tees!

Greens ran very true, and some had quite tricky to read borrows. There are some 'waste areas' to carry, but if you go in those you can ground your club, and most are very tidy. There are also a couple of lakes that come into play on a number of holes. Fairways were in very good condition and lovely to hit a ball off. Distances were noted on most sprinkler heads, but were to the front of the greens (not middle), which can leave you coming up short if you don't know how deep a green is or how far on the pin is.

This is another course that insisted we either had a caddy each or a buggy between us. The cost is 400 Dirham for a buggy and 150 Dirham for a caddy (but then you have to add a tip, so the same cost).

The course is great condition and others a good test. Off the yellows it's around 6700 yards so it's reasonably long. I hired the standard issue jack nicklaus clubs which were in very poor condition (dirty and shiny worn grips). The grip on the driver even had Sellotape fixing the grip at the bottom! Not what you would expect when paying good money and the standard of the course. I complained and they said they are replacing all the clubs next week with new Callaway and Cleveland. But I'm not sure if this is a standard reply? Anyhow I had a good round despite the clubs and would recommend if using your own.

A Jack Nicklaus course as us usual with lots and lots of sand. Longer than the others we played in Morrocco and much tougher. Greens are quick and very undulating. No guarantee of a 2 putt unless you get pretty close.
