I play at Silverknowes a lot. It may be a municipal course but it is in good condition and has some difficult holes. Greens are always good too.

Good course with stunning views.
Silverknowes is close to the centre of Edinburgh and several holes overlook the Firth of Forth. Part of Edinburgh Leisure's Council managed group of golf facilities, the course offers an excellent challenge whilst being reasonably friendly to high handicappers.Facilities are basic but the course is well maintained and certainly worth a visit.

many thanks to the pro and starter for fitting our outing in at very short notice, after our arranged course was closed due to the weather. Silverknowes was in great order despite the weather, a credit to all concerned. I will be making a return visit soon.

A very nicely maintained course. Good value and a good challenge. Played a Saturday afternoon and was very enjoyable and not overalls busy so no holdups.

Went with 15 others for a weekend tournament in Edinburgh, and kicked off our weekend here. Very welcoming, great value, and very nice course. Possibly not that challenging without the gale force wind, but I wonder how often it's not windy there! Very enjoyable, and in good condition.
