For my first round here I just turned up at 7.30am one morning and despite being told that visitors couldn't usually tee off until later I was allowed to play with little hesitation. On my next visit I warmed up 'next door' and then headed over hoping to play at Littlestone on a Twilight Round after 2pm. Apart from verbally checking on my H/C I was given access and tee'd off within 20 mins. The staff were perfectly friendly and approachable.
I agree with other reviews I've seen elsewhere that this could be described as a beginners links course. Whilst this may be partly true its not without teeth and though some fairways are wider and bunkers not as deep that only really takes away from the visuals. This is still a proper test of golf and has some great holes (most of the par 3's) and then in particular the closing 3 holes back into the wind make for a great finish especially if you are chasing a good score. Also it wouldn't have been chosen as a Open Qualifying Course if it wasn't up to scratch.
My only gripe is that I think its relatively expensive for its status at £65 a round during the week and £80 at weekends. But then again the next best courses of this type in this location are at Deal and Sandwich and yes there are clearly a step up the green fees almost double. The adjoining course is a lot shorter and less refined but a lot more accessible and with small greens is a reasonable test of golf also. And at around £16 a round is a bargain.

Fantastic experience
Course is magnificent, some of the bunkers are at present fur but the improvements being made are superb. One of the best links courses in the south. Clubhouse was friendly and no stuffiness at all.course was busy but still had a 4 ball round under 4 hoursReviewer Rating

Delightful links
Think links golf - think Kent! This absolute gem is up there with the best of them - it's beauifully maintained and well laid out. It's challenging, yet playable - though, like a true links, each hole plays differently with a change in the wind. Littlestone comes with a charming clubhouse and shorter 18 (The Warren) if you fancy a warm-up round. Put it on your 'must play' list!Reviewer Rating
