Great golf course but badly treated by the pro shop we took 8 people up to play the course previous day they booked us in as 2 4 balls when we arrived from bristol they palmed us off onto a different course which had just been hollow tined

14 of us played the Cherington on the 13th May 2016. We were generally disappointed in the condition of the greens, but even more disappointed that no-one bothered to tell us that the greens had recently undergone extensive hollow coring and hadn't recovered fully. Also we were charged more than the club's advertised county card fee to play, which, given the green's condition was a bit naughty. Aside from the greens the clubhouse, range and facilities were good but the course layout was a little bit too much just up and down an open area without too many interesting features. Would not rule out visiting again but would definitely inquire as to the state of the course before committing to play.

I felt the welcome could have been a but more friendly but most of the members we encountered did make an effort.
Would love to try the course in the summer although the course held up very well in view of all the bad weather recently.

Pity the course was not in the greatest nick as the greens had recently had some work done on them. Not alot of interest compared the the Avening course I played the next day,but I enjoyed the game until the sun dropped low in the sky

Nice course - once you find it as it's not that easy. testing in parts and easy holes at others, in good nick and greens roling well.
Probably not quite worth the level of green fees they charge compared to other courses I've played

Nice course
Nice course and some really good holes. Decent challenge for all levels. Only minor negatives were very slow greens and no signage on greens to the next tees so you could get lost easily as the course intermingles with other holes in places.Reviewer Rating

Always a pleasure
