Course in great condition, not overly long but always difficult in the wind, and the wind today was gusting to 50mph!! The sea views are always dramatic, but particularly today. Would definitely recommend as part of the Northumberland links circuit.

Quirky Links Golf

I love this course, it is quirky, but has two of the best par threes you'll find anywhere. Friendly we!come, great sea views, and often windy! Proper links golf!!

Playes yesterday afternoon 25th August 15, course in superb condition, greens true and even paced. Weather was warm and sunny with a stiff breeze that you always seemed to be playing into. 10th over the lake and 15th over the sea are stunning par 3s only 120 yards but with the wind off the right!!!

Updated review on Seahouses. Toilets not as smelly this time well done to them. Clubhouse staff very friendly and I was over the moon to get a choice off the standard main course menu for our food. None of this no choice you'll get what your given rubbish that some courses insist on. Condition of the course was okay quite a few bald patches around but after very heavy rain yesterday it had drained very well. Goes without saying that seahouses has a smattering of excellent holes and many are not for the feint hearted as it always seems to be windy at the course. I've still got a problem with the layout of the course especially over the road from the club house. In general it's a nightmare for cross over fairways, confusing greens next to each other and in general being very crammed together. On a couple of occasions we had people putting out and two groups waiting to tee off in very close proximity and chose to wait for people to clear the green and for all 8 to tee off before walking up the fairway together. All very time consuming. You can regularly forget to look and find yourself walking off to the next hole in front of a group teeing off from just behind your green. On a busy day like today with the usual strong wind it's probably safest to wear a crash helmet rather than a cap. Seahouses can be enjoyable to play it just hasn't got the space to do itself justice nor the sinage to stop it's faults becoming quite irritating as you get further into your round. Plus there seems to be a lot of casual walkers who seem to enjoy just wandering across the course !! Unfortunately I don't think there is much it can do to correct most of it's faults, still nice to play it in its centenary year !

Very enjoyable course. If you book at a later time the price is much cheaper. The locals are very friendly, and the club seems to not be unnecessarily harsh on etiquete and welcoming to beginners. Fantastic scenery on the back 9 and this part is much harder I found as there are lots more out of bounds, a good challenge.

Played Seahouses for the first time in a 4 man team open. Great welcome in the clubhouse and breakfast was spot on. Course was in great condition and will strugggle to play better par 3's anywhere. Only negative is that there are quite a few holes that share fairways and crossover (confusing at times) and i imagine that during busy periods this could be a nightmare.

Definitely worth a trip if you haven't played.

Relatively flat course with an interesting mix of holes, those on the sea side being the more challenging and by far the most pleasing on the eye. With few blind shots it helps the pace of play although the criss crossing of fairways at times can create congestion.
