What the club says: This well established (over 20 years) course is parkland with mature tress and numerous water hazards to trap the unwary. The fairways are generous, the green receptive and the semi rough is kept quite long to penalise a wayward shot. 84 bunkers are placed strategically to test your full repertoire of shots.

The course is in good condition with quite quick greens, miss the fairway by to much and you will be punished but there is plenty of room and some really good holes to test how brave you feel, looking forward to the summer and harder fairways. - Feb 17 2011

Course in great condition.Shop facilities non existent .
Would recommend this golf course to all pristine greens and fairways
Played the longer of the two courses on offer, The Baron, Great course, played after the really heavy rain and was a little worried, fairways were a little soggy, but the greens were in tip top condition, varied course, fair punishment for wayward drives. Used the bar and facilities after, staff all very helpful and quick service. All in all an excellent golf day.
A decent course, but suffering from the bad weather at the time. Good value and a good course for high handicappers. Not too long and good variety. Really enjoyed paying the course again, despite the weather.

The complex and both golf courses look neglected, heavily underinvested and lacking quality course management! The course was untidy, all playing surfaces we’re overgrown, with scatterings of cut grass everywhere, and all course furniture was surrounded with weeds and long grass. The greens were covered in debris and hadn’t been cut for a while and the bunkers were messy with no definition around the edges and lined with weeds. Aesthetically poor condition and a shadow of its former self! A shame, but would recommend spending your money on a round elsewhere!
Played on a dry weekday and the place was deserted.
If you love a quiet course these are for you. If you enjoy well presented courses stay away, the place is a bog and very unkept and all areas of the course were weak, especially the greens with bare patches and I think the rough at my club would be quicker to putt on.
Obviously clubhouse was equally as quiet and staff seemed totally unmotivated as there were no smiles or welcome!
Kitchen is also closed so we left and went to the pub in the way home which was so much welcoming with good beers and food.
We won't be rushing back.

I have only played the Baroness course which is the easier of the 2, the course is well layed out but the greens are patchy in areas and could do with some extra care

Millionaire Golf as course very quiet. Some of the greens & bunkers in need of better upkeep.

The courses are both interesting but in need of a haircut as the rough is long right from the first cut. A decent challenge on both.
When we were there the Pro had just left and taken all his stock with him so the reception / shop was deserted which wasn't the most encouraging sight.
Food was, at best, ok but adequate for a large group.
Having read a recent review, we were a little dubious about the state of the course but we really had nothing to worry about. Warmly welcomed in the clubhouse whilst waiting for the pro shop to open and given some tips for play. Made our way to the Baron and suprised how good the course was playing. Tee boxes maybe a little long but not a problem. First cut rough sometimes a little clover filled and you may need to club up, which you learn pretty quickly. The actual rough is tough to find your ball and get out of, but with the size of the fairways you really have no business being in there! Bunkers in good condition but not much sand. Greens were a delight - Very good condition and not overly fast. Suprised with the number of Par 4s and Par 5s and really is a massive course that we will be challenging again along with the Baroness.
Course could be excellent but needs a good mow tee boxes very long not cut for 7/10 days same with fairways played chesfield on Friday and was all cut and fine, so no excuse with rain, also no real second cut Miss green by 1 yard in very thick rough, needs better maintenance to make better course general feeing by others on the course on the day.
(Round played: Aug 2017 - Score: 99 Handicap: 21.2)
Played the Baron, wow, the greens are effectively non existent with no grass coverage and cracks appearing making putting laughable.
Rest of the place very unkept and makes for a very unhappy experience.
Pro Shop is an absolute joke with no stock.
Such a shame as the course could be a real gem.
