Would need to be 50p a round
Very cheap but you get what you pay for. I played as part of a society but wish I'd saved my money and not took the day off work. Much better courses on the doorstep. Wont be heading back any time soonReviewer Rating

Very poor greens...tea boxes bad.. like a bog on 2nd hole alll time.... very poor course tbh

Played here this morning and at £21 for a round and a buggy it's a bargain but that's about it in over 20 years of playing golf these were the worst greens I've ever played on they were spiked and covered in wet sand even though we hadn't had any rain so they must have watered them and at times they were unplayable especially on the front 9 which was a shame as this is usually a very good course the tee boxes weren't much better overall a very very poor standard course even when we had finished and told the steward in the club house he just stood they and wasn't bothered about our complaint we won't be rushing back here to play

Thornhurst Park
Although near my home I have never played the course before. Whilst reports some years ago were unfavourable I have to say that comments from friends suggest the course is now worth playing. So hey ho we played it and it was a pleasant experience. The course is well worth a return vidsit sometime soon.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 90 Handicap: 19.2)

The Greens were patchy, the worst I have seen in September, some Tee boxes were uneven. I have played the course four times in total (1 each year) and it seems to have deteriorated. The food is excellent and this seems to have a large appeal with societies, if you are more interested in the golf then its worth giving a miss

Very hard work, if your ball went just 6ins of the fairway, you could not play it or worse still not find it, as the grass had been cut was very very long, A shame as the club house is 100%, also greens very hard could not stop any ball.

Semi woodland course that is easy on the foot, but has water coming into play on a few holes to keep you on your toes.

First visit to Thornhurst Park
Despite living locally and being a regular golfer I had never played Thornhurst Park before. I had tales of woe about winter golf so stayed well away. My regular mates were away this week so played with a neighbour and was very pleasantly surprised. The course was in good condition and the greens excellent despite the upturned saucer effect on lots of them . I will certainly be visiting agai and the twilight rates Weare very reasonable.. We ate in the restaurant afterwards and the food good but a tad expensive.Reviewer Rating

Society day
The club house does not open until 09.00 so if u r out early don’t expect a hot drink r a bacon butty But when we did get in the breakfast was very good the course was ok to say it was soakingReviewer Rating
