If your name is Billy, then be the G.O.A.T.!

Long story short, this course has some of the largest elevation changes you will find anywhere in Ohio! This is very much a tactical course, and get comfortable with whatever club you need to place your ball about 220-230 yards out, because you'll need that shot off the tees. Keep your approaches below the hole, and don't run your putts too far past, because any putts downhill are NOT your friend! If you decide to walk this course, remember it's about a 20 minute helicopter ride to the nearest hospital. Seriously, take a cart!!! Excellent conditions, friendly staff, and one helluva challenge! Very difficult the first time playing, but once you learn the nuances of the course, you can score well. I am a mid handicap (12-14), and I am always happy with a sub 90 round here! Make sure to enjoy the views, and get an early tee time, so you can enjoy some of the best fishing Ohio has to offer!

Very worthy State Park course

The course is set into the hills of the park. Beautiful views from almost every T box. Most fairways slanted and the undulations are quite challenging. Greens were fast, but pure. Beautiful couse, can't wait to go back.

Played on 5/25/14. I live 60 miles away, but this course is worth the trip. The weekend green fee was $36, which I consider fair for a course as well maintained as this. The greens are always in great shape and are usually on the speedy side. Pin placements can be tricky here and when near the edges, particularly the front, lend to the ball rolling off of the green on missed putts. Fairways are always lush. Some are quite narrow and tree lined. If not used to uneven lies, you will be after a round here. The course is hilly. Walk it if you need a lot of exercise. It is one of the more layouts I have played. Plenty of doglegs and elevation changes to contend with. It is definitely a course where you'll need to hit your spots from the tee to have good shots at the green.
