Could be a very good interesting course but needs some serious work from the greenkeepers if they have any.clods of cut grass on fairways, bunkers a complete disgrace.
Greens very hard and impossible to stop any type of shot.worth double what we paid if course up to scratch.

Excellent value for money with enough challenges to keep the better players occupied without putting off beginners. Myself and playing partner paid £21 each including the use of the buggy.

Golf course was great!!! Weather didn't help us but the course drainage was good. Few puddles here and there which is totally expected with the amount of rain we have had. A lot of courses were closed in the area. Plus greens wasn't wet at all, they drain very well.
Very picturesque course all individual holes. Must mention how helpful and welcoming the PGA Professional Daniel is.
Had a great day

Played here for the first time. Didn't know what to expect. Greeted very helpfully by the PGA Professional who kindly showed me to the tee. Enjoyed the course very much. Some interesting holes, Every hole is independent no crossing over on fairways which I found at other courses around here. Greens running quick and true. All in all great afternoon spent!! Plus if you ring the shop during your round they deliver drinks to you, which was great!!

First time here, fantastic value for money and really friendly staff. Front and back nine really different some tight fairways on the back nine so steady with the driver if your not straight off the tee you will be punished. Especially on the 16th. I will be back!

Played on 12th March. Pro shop very well stocked, coffee and bacon roll was ok.
As for the course itself, the front 9 was ok although the holes could do with more fairway bunkering to make them more visually appealing and the greens were a little woolly but were are in the winter season. Where this course comes into its own are on the back 9 holes, some very attractive and interesting holes and the greens were a lot better. It is quite tight so you have to be accurate off the tee.
We used their midweek deal which was £14 for coffee, bacon roll and 18 holes of golf which was very good value for money.

I played this course recently following recommendation by a golfing-friend who plays the course regularly. I was impressed by the greeting I received, with all staff being extremely friendly and professional. Having read some of the reviews on this site, I was sceptical about the course as it is relatively new, but this was soon overcome. The layout was fantastic with a mix of easier holes on the front 9 and some absolutely magnificent ones on the back 9. The course was on proper tees, greens and bearing in mind the wet weather recently, this was a nice surprise.
Overall and without going into too much detail, you must play this course! I have played at more expensive clubs locally that do not offer the same facilities at double the price. I understand that the club is under new ownership and I will definitely returning.

A cheap and cheerful course which I enjoy playing. Wide and long front nine, with a rather more challenging, narrow back nine. A good mixture of holes, unforgiving rough, and plenty of hills to walk up and down. The 11th is a real mother...
Fairways are hard and bare in patches, but it's improved and it is built on a former pit tip. Excellent driving range.

the first 9 holes of the course is not narrow but have a few wide fairways so if you do manage to hit the ball off to the right or left you do not get punished for it as so. the fairways have got room for improvement as two the greens but the greens are decent and true but lack pace in them. the back 9 is probably the toughest back 9 around in this area of golf courses as iv played sherwood golf club, ramsdale , norwood park, rufford park and oakmere admrials course. This simply is because the back 9 is so narrow to the flags from the tee shot their is simply no room for error, if u do not make the fairways u will be severley punished in to the out of bounds area making u have a drop shot. To make a good round i think you need to be aggressive round the front 9 and try take on the holes, but be more defensive round the back 9 and try not to make mistakes from the tees. nay handicap 21.5

Recently taken over (this is a former Jack Barker's group course until September last year) and run by those who care about golf and are golfers themselves, this course has the makings of being an excellent venue once the planned work is fully underway.
The greens are very nice and play very well, and although some of the tee-boxes are a little thick in places, it doesn't matter when you're teeing up.
Truthfully the fairways DO need work so they can be truly told apart from the first and second cut (which blend into a cut and a half to be honest), and the amount of rain of late forces standing water in places (drainage is being worked on constantly), but this is a constant work in progress at the moment and has been a labour of love since being taken over and the new owners have only been in place since Sept 2011 - thus time is needed to bring out the beauty of the venue during the next 12 months (6 months ago the fairways were almost pure topsoil and sand, which proves the effort of the new owners thus far).

As reviews are only the personal opinion of the author, don't take my word or anyone else's without playing the course and remembering it is still a work in progress; once the rainy season is out of the way and the Summer rolls in this course will start to take better shape but still makes for an enjoyable round and value for money with excellent accompanying facilities, pro shop, fitting service etc.
