Not a great track but got potential if it was just cared for

Not a tricky course but the ridiculously thick rough makes it hard. Even if your drives are hitting the fairway and runs into the rough there is a danger you lose your ball its that thick. Not a lot of signs of first cut rough at all and for me this is not helping the course. The potential is there. If this course was to be cared for and a head greenkeeper who knew what he was doing you could transform the place into a course people would look forward to playing. 4 bunkers on the course, 3 of them are a mess. Few greens with damage around the edges, bins not emptied, ball cleaners with no water, tee boxes a mess. A little bit of work goes a long way and if that was applied to this course I would probably play it again. At the moment I won't be back until the course improves. Staff in the clubhouse were polite and accommodating.

Played Thursday 30th April.
Fairways & semi-rough were lush, well maintained and in excellent condition. Tees & bunkers need a bit of TLC. USPGA greens that ran true if not particularly quick. Nice little clean combined clubhouse & pro's shop with friendly staff. Course represents excellent value for money.

Very flat public course, slow greens, super long rough, small pro shop, friendly staff, cheap rates and it's right near my house so it's also convenient.

Overall Aylesbury Park isn't too bad a golf course.

Some tough holes and some quite easy. hardly any bunkers, some water hazards and ditches.

Greens weren't great, lots of disease and burnt off edges from the recent hot weather. putted ok on them though and you could hold your approach shots.

Tees were a bit shabby.

Good food and beer, friendly members.

Will play again just wish it was in better condition.

Very friendly club and pace was fast even though busy on a Saturday morning. Course looks easier than it actually is and greens very fast. quite open and flat so good for higher handicaps but still tricky enough to keep lower handicaps happy

Good open course, encourages you to attack a little more than usual. Greens aren't too bad, perhaps a little slow. But generally in good condition, provides a good challenge for most golfers. Very friendly staff and well priced food and drink.

Played this course last week as my own course was waterlogged. Considering the recent wet weather the course was a great deal dryer than I expected and all greens were in use. It is quite a flat and forgiving course but ideal for regaining your timing and swing after a break from the game.

A must play course kept in excellent condition in all weathers. Great value. Friendly clubhouse with some great deals in the pro shop. Play it while you can before HS2 destroys probably one of the best venues in Buckinghamshire.

Has very few bunkers and is quite open - very few hazards. Suits high handicappers, but has few challenges for better golfers. Greens currently being worked on but reasonably true. Reasonably priced, especially week days.

A big wide-open American style course with wide fairways and protected greens, not a big challenge but it is good fun. If you hit a wayward shot there's a very good chance that you can still recover in Par.

A nice course to work on your game - particulalry the long shots.

Great value for money especially if you go for the twighlight which starts earlier than most places. If your a decent player and are having a good day you will rip this course up as it's fairways are wide. Took a society here and it was very popular especially with the poorer players as it is forgiving. That doesn't detract from it being a well kept course which we will return to.

A nice course that lets you open your shoulders and give the ball a whack!! It's a wide open course, but drift off the fairways, you'll find your ball in the long rough and you'll pay a price for being wayward!

This grassland course is well maintained and challenging enough for most golfers - it tempts you hit big, if you hit straight you'll be fine but if not you'll drop shots. The fairways are long and quite wide, the greens are a little bumpy but generally OK, they are protected by a myriad of bunkers. There is little/no water on the course.

Built over a couple of gently undulating hills it's easy to underestimate distances - it's a long slog up some of the fairways and if the wind is in your face it's gonna be a long day.

Aylesbury Park is a fun course to play - a nice challenge well worth taking.

Wasn't that keen to play here this year, but was surprised at how much improved it was since 2007. However, not recommended after a lot of rain; doesn't drain well. But inexpensive. Greens have really come on in last year and are now smooth and true.
Some tricky water comes into play here and there.
But is a parkland course made up from a few fields and will get better.
