Won?t rush back
600 yds shorter than the ?card? due to tee boxes being moved to the middle of the fairways. Some greens poor with drainage ridges.Reviewer Rating

Course shouldn't be open for play. Would be better off in a pair of wellies and take a crockett mallet instead of a putter. 7 out of 18 greens in use, therefore shortened course, however no defined winter greens. Course needs 5years to grow and be cared for without anyone playing it. Drainage appalling; no practice puttiing green ( although one is being constructed currently)
Contemplated walking off after 4 holes, but chose to enjoy a pleasant days sunshine instead of shopping with the wife.

Course in a very poor state, 3,4 greens in disrepair, course is wet in a lot off places and actually unplayable in a few

The worst course I have ever played the greens are terrible staff un helpful what a load of rubbish do not even bother to play this course. Wickham is a far better venue.

Poor Customer Service
Good luck trying to get them to answer the ‘phone or return calls.Had to cancel a society meeting at short notice as no buggies allowed as course wet. Strange this as there were two dry days prior to our date and the day itself was also fine.
Shame as it is a nice course let down by some indifferent staff at the moment.
Previous years have been fine so let’s hope this is an unfortunate blip.
The ratings given are a reflection of the poor custoner service

Book this through TeeTimes. Every hole was a temporary green and most tee boxes were mats. It's a shame coz a fantastic location and it was a lovely sunny afternoon.

Played the 3rd August, hadn't been for 18 Months. There is a new sports bar, but the pro shop only has clothes and limited balls etc. Not really a pro shop. Still got the bar staff doing all bookings and trying to serve customers drinks. The greens are fairly average with lots of dark patches and not great coverage on all. The greens should be immaculate this time of year with the great weather we have been experiencing, if other venues can do it then why not Skylark. Having said that there are a few interesting holes and a couple of tight fairways, the par 5s are rather short, off the yellow its only 5240 yds. I might play again in another 18 months but nothing here to bring me rushing back.

Tee off time was 16:00 by the time we got served it was 16:20. The course was overbooked and extremely slow! There are no course marshals and as such slow play all round the course. Shocking service in the club bar, originally told we didn't have a tee time when clearly had the confirmation. Played well though, and new facilities look good

Played on 30th May , It is an interesting course but is in serious need of some extensive work to be done on drainage and the shocking state of the greens . The new owner as I gather is in the process of sorting the course out , once this is done It will be a lovely course to play . One point though the food in the restaraunt is superb .
