Lovely Course
Lovely parkland course with good challenges from river and lake hazards. Well planned layout, good length holes and excellent quality greens. Nice clubhouse with a large veranda overlooking the 9th/18th greenReviewer Rating

nice course BUT see review
Nice course with some interesting holes, position from tee crucial, 6 par 3,s 4 par 5,s and some long par 4,s greens not particularly fast or slow but true. The BUT could do with signs for next tee or map on score card as next hole not always obvious.(Round played: Oct 2020 - Score: 97 Handicap: 21.8)

Cracking Course
Course in excellent condition. Tees, fairways and greens are really good and well maintained. Bunkers are pretty awful, but understand that lots of work is planned for these in the coming months. The course is a real challenge, but the layout is superb. Every hole has something interesting about it. The clubhouse is very comfortable and the service is excellent. The outdoor area, overlooking the 9th and 18th greens is lovely. The welcome is a very warm one and the food is really top notch.Reviewer Rating

Excellent course worth a visit
Each shot requires thought but still some holes for the big hitters. The stroke index one needs a well placed drive.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 90 Handicap: )

Okay
I must admit Colne valley is not one of my most favourite clubs but it does what it says on the tin . Fairways and greens in good condition but if you go in the rough you can be in big trouble as it’s very overgrown(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 101 Handicap: 22.9)

Curate’s Egg
There are some very good features on the course. It is challenging, with some narrowing fairways between the trees; it is an attractive course; its greens are well kept. However, the bunkers are not well kept, with many stones and weeds in them (I know the answer is to stay out of the bunkers!).(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 94 Handicap: 25.9)

Great course
A challenge for mid handicap player. Course in good condition although greens were very firm for March. Pro shop very friendly, service in bar slow despite being almost empty! One of favourite courses in Essex, will return soon.(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 105 Handicap: 20)
