Expensive for what it is
We were at a society day here and although we all thought it was expensive for the condition of the course. That went further downhill when we were treated pretty poorly as visitors.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 93 Handicap: 21.6)

Great value afternoon tee. Busy but that would be of the value. Greens excellent and true. A few wet patches, but very heavy rain two days ago, so to be expected. Overall excellent course, well kept

Alterations to the course bunkers since we last visited , some new ones and some old ones filled in, this is part of a 2 year project. The greens were very fast today, but the course was in great condition, and good value from 1.00 - 3.00 pm

An enjoyable open style course.
This is an excellent course which you can afford to be a bit wide on some of the holes. Some great approach style layouts where water is waiting for the foolish. The Par 3s are not easy by any means but a good test none the less. certainly recommend that you give this a try.Reviewer Rating

Tidy course

Even off the back of a long hot dry spell the greens are in very very poor condition, don't expect to sink very many putts..The course lay out is great which makes for a very pleasant walk but the venue is really trying to punch above its weight and is a little over priced as a result..

Nice course, in good condition (May 2016)
BUT .. and a very big but.. played with a colleague on a Sunday and by the time we'd reach the 12th tee we were in a queue of 4 groups (one on the tee. 3 waiting) !!
Very slow .. saw a Course Marshall on buggy, what was he doing, we could see people ahead spending 10 minutes looking for balls :-(
If this was fixed then things would be much better, ending up walking of the course because a 5 hour round isn't acceptable !

A lovely course which has vastly improved since we last visited Lichfield. Greens had been worked on 3 weeks before, but to be honest their new greenkeeper had done really well in getting them to where they are now. Facilities amazing and always treated really well by friendly staff. Had a slight problem on course, but the Marshal soon sorted that issue out. Will definitely be returning to play soon hopefully with works society!!

Worth a visit
The greens yesterday all in great condition, all the bunkers have been greatly improved since my last visit. Fairways dry and hard. A little windy on the back 9 at the top of the course. But a very nice round of golf.Reviewer Rating

Went on a recce for my golf society. What a disappointment, the facilities are very poor.
The course itself is OK, though very wet and boggy when I played. A bit too open for my liking. Relatively flat, no surprises or mystery, could do with more trees/bushes to 'hide' the next hole. Many of the tees are in need of repair and the course signage is very nearly non-existant. Greens OK. New bunkers with lots of good quality sand.
It is the clubhouse that really lets the place down though. A poky changing room with only 2 showers and toilets, nowhere near big enough for our society. The bar is the same, more like a serving hatch, and situated in front of the main entrance to the gym. Stand at the bar and you are in the way - mad layout . No separate function room for societies to have a meal, so would have to eat in the small general seating area. I feel sorry for the members, l have been to other 'The Club Company' venues and this is definitely the poor relation.
So a 'NO' for my society, I would be lynched for making such a poor choice! OK if you are only a 4-ball.
