Good condition but this club always insist you play in a 4 ball. This spoils the very idear of playing with your partner. I will therefore mark this course down on organisation and friendliness.

Even off the back of a long hot dry spell the greens are in very very poor condition, don't expect to sink very many putts..The course lay out is great which makes for a very pleasant walk but the venue is really trying to punch above its weight and is a little over priced as a result..

Nice course, in good condition (May 2016)
BUT .. and a very big but.. played with a colleague on a Sunday and by the time we'd reach the 12th tee we were in a queue of 4 groups (one on the tee. 3 waiting) !!
Very slow .. saw a Course Marshall on buggy, what was he doing, we could see people ahead spending 10 minutes looking for balls :-(
If this was fixed then things would be much better, ending up walking of the course because a 5 hour round isn't acceptable !

Very wet and muddy in the winter then rock hard greens in the summer. Fairly flat and uninteresting layout. New greenkeeper doing his best by pushing a few tees back. Mainly played by hackers and high handicappers without much adherance to the rules of golf. Gym's OK.

Fair course in a tidy condition, however the greens were far from perfect, this let the course down. The quality of food served was also poor with it being tasteless, and the staff needed to get personalities. The changing room was excellent with good showers and clean. Overall a fair course but with plenty of scope for improvement.

A very odd golf society round. Played off the whites, bunkers on the first 9 holes GUR. Longest drive an d N/P in two was set up so no one could win it (set up by the club)! Apart from the bunkers issue the course was generally in a decent condition. Beer in the clubhouse is very expensive. Quite a corporate feel about the place.

A really enjoyable afternoon of golf. The course has good variety and course management can be tested with the ditches and waterways on the course.

Worth a visit if you're in Staffordshire. .
Course has improved now the rain has ceased and we are back playing after the 12 week lockdown. All they need to do now is improve the bunkers. This wasn't done during lock down, as it wasn't "esential maintenance". I do believe they will get proper sand, but still waiting.(Round played: May 2020 - Score: 112 Handicap: 24.7)

Tidy course
