Was a member there course is good but to easy and really you will murder it.
Won't improve you as a player unless your 80.
Memberships don't even go there pay and play is all they are interested in.
No category 1 players as members I was the only one.
A course for pensioners and hackers.

Soggy conditions. Narrow fairways with with other groups always in your fairway.

Probably ok for the price. Not much difference between the two sets of tees, fairways tight and not in the best condition. The stream that runs through the course is basically a ditch and should be piped through in places so driver can be hit off the tees rather than laying up then hitting a longer shot to the greens. Greens are pretty good although on some holes the fairways are boggy just short of the green so there isnt the option of landing short and the greens are very firm so its difficult to get the ball to stop. Good players will probably find the course very easy and novices will find it frustrating with ditches running through almost all the fairways. The members I met were ok not overley friendly but as the club seems to be more intent on making money from pay and plays this is not surprising. All in all an ok course for how new it is but nit the best.

Nice casual course. Very forgiving. Played just after a downpour and was still in good condition. Stream running right through the course puts extra pressure on club selection.

Great Course - even if it is a 9 hole with split tees. Expensive at the bar afterwards though....

The course is a very nice 9 hole with a few challenges, decent size greens to aid amatures such as myself. Nice clubhouse and restaurant and never seems too busy

Fairways in good condition, semi rough can be a challenge for any misplaced drives,course management is key around here the greens are quick and offfer an additional challenge, cracking 9 hole course with quite different tea positions if you play it has an 18

Chorley cracker
Really enjoyed Oak Royal & such a friendly club!Joined a member for a round, the was in excellent condition with some really nice holes especially the par 3?s.
Would highly recommend & great value for money!
