What the club says: Mainly flat, the main challenges you will find here are the wind and water. More about style than distance, La Serena is severely punishing for wayward golf, and yet very scorable if you keep the ball on the straight and narrow.

Challenging golf course with plenty of water featuring on most holes. Feels quite tropical with all the palm trees. Our 4 ball really like the way the course is set up and also has a great clubhouse. Best value for money in the area also.

Well maintained with friendly, helpful staff. A flat and easy course to walk, strong par 3's but with water on 16 holes a good challenge, you need to be accurate otherwise danger threatens.

Very Challenging
Water comes into play on 16 of the holes so medium to high handicappers need to bring a good supply of balls. My group of 3 lost a total of 15 balls. Speaking to other golfers this is not unusual for those playing it for the first time. This apart it is a course I would play again because despite the water it offers a good test of golfing skills and course management.Reviewer Rating

Good course with water on 16 holes, easy to walk and well maintained. There is a shortage of rubbish bins and ball cleaners throughout the course.

Water on most of the holes which is very challenging for somebody like me who isn't very straight. Lost a few balls. Still nothing like playing in the sun. I need to improve to play here again.

Weather was great warm sunny da, course was well populated but a steady pace was kept throughout round.
Lots of work being done on all fairways, particularly the treatment for thatch, but overall course in reasonable condition.

i didn't find this course interesting, well looked after,good greens, very flat, to much water,lost 8 balls and apparently that's good, one guy lost 16.still enjoyed the day.

The course in excellent condition. The greens were immaculate. Difficult playing condition because it was windy. The fairways are narrow and there is water in 16 of the 18 holes

Lots and lots of hard sand liming the course rather than bunkers we are used to in the UK. Plenty of water as well to keep the attention span up. Good course though

This is a good course with lots and lots of water, if you are conservative in your play and use a strokesaver you can play to handicap, if not take plenty of balls with you!
