Course Information
It is certainly one of the most picturesque layouts in Europe, set in extensive grounds of pine forest and undulating dunes with spectacular views over the Atlantic and the Berlenga Islands beyond. The course is visually stunning and tremendously exciting to play. Because of the endless variations of the terrain you'll never play it the same.

Beautiful course
A great course and very good value at 55 euro rate. Highly recommend playing it and felt it was as good as it’s more illustrious companion West Cliffs which is also excellent(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 98 Handicap: )

Worth playing
Certainly worth playing. We had a very slow round (5 hrs 10minutes) behind Scandinavians and were started at the 10th. A challenging layout more so if the wind gets up. Some impressive views. The course condition was excellent.Reviewer Rating

Nice course; a fair challenge, not too long but unfortunately played in wet rainy conditions. Very walkable. Clubhouse facilities v.good.

The coursse plays as two courses, the front nine are set back from the coast with tree lined fairways more parkland, the back nine follow the atlantic coast and are more links like, if the golf's not going well just enjoy at the scenery and clement weather!!!
While we were there (5days) we had the course to ourselves for all but 1 day and could play 36 holes a day no problem! The downside was the lack of nightlife although I think they were still developing the site and there was talk of a second course being developed a short distance away, the bar/restaurant was good, the menu was limited but the food was excellent, they had sky sports in the bar and we had the remote!
We stayed in a self catering appartment which was very well appointed overlooking the driving range and 50 yards away was a pool and sun terrace I tried the pool once but it was freezing - apparently they turn the heating off at the end of October.
The resort was about 45 minutes from Lisbon and 15minutes away from the nearest big town (Obidos) but at the small town there were a few restaurants and a supermarket as well as the usual pharmacy, clothes shops etc. We didn't spend much time there but did eat out 1 night at the "Italian" restuarant - it did pizzas! It was ok but meant we had to drive about 6 miles to get there and back so couldn't drink.
If you want a quiet getaway with all the golf you can manage then I'd reccommend this resort in November (out of season) if you like more variety stay nearer Lisbon or go to Villamoura and livlier nightlife and crowded greens! You can't have it all.

Great course on the coast
A mixture of links and parkland style holes in fantastic condition with spectacular views over the Atlantic. Marshalls are keen on the pace so keep up. Will definately be back. Very nice clubhouse and restaurant.Reviewer Rating

PDR-The nicest course in Lisbon
This is by far the nicest course we play in Lisbon each year with beautiful flowers and a wonderful array of holes testing every golfer. The short seem easy but are not.....the tough seem difficult but are fair and if respected one can score on them. Greens are superb and catering facilities are top class. An enjoyable experience for all golfers.......weak and strong alike.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 95 Handicap: 23)

What a gem
This is the best course by far in this part of Portugal. It has it all. The fairways are mature and the greens are superb. The bunkers were well maintained and plenty staff were frindly and professional. The course is mature and ten pace of play was good. We started on the back 9 but were not delayed when we got to hole one. A really enjoyable experience.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 99 Handicap: 22.1)

Worth visiting
If you only considered the back 9 this would be a 5* course as the views over the Atlantic just next to the holes are spectacular. The course is in great condition considering the time of year and while the front 9 are somewhat forgettable parkland holes I certainly recommend playing it.(Round played: Dec 2017 - Score: 95 Handicap: 18.1)
