Not even able to play on the course & no warning given!
Upon arriving and after booking and paying we were informed we had to play every shot off a mat they would provide to us. This is not golf. Thought it was pretty poor form for this not be explained upon booking as we would have clearly played somewhere else. At the very least prices should have been significantly lowered.Reviewer Rating

ROUND RUINED - Ridiculous 11th hole ruined our matchplay round, as designed with a huge hillock in front of 11th green with blindside un-raked pot bunker on other side. Hit beautiful shot over hillock only to find ball impossible to play from hidden bunker. Still angry 2 weeks later. Fine for members, ridiculous for visitors. Will never play it again.

Played in October. £25 round. Fairways were poor (weedy and mossy) Greens had just been aerated and coated in sand. Very dissapointed as the course itself is a challenging one. Expected better for the money.

lets just say, i'm glad we only paid £11 for 18 holes, course was in a shocking state, drainage clearly a problem, greens were absolutely shocking

Best I've played here

Decent course

Good course....
I'd used the driving range a few times but never played the course until today. Truth be told in most places it was very, very, very wet - which wasn't surprising given the amount of rain we've had. That said the greens were in *beautiful condition* which more than made up for the swamp like conditions. The course itself is compact with some lovely holes and in most cases quite forgiving off the tee.(Round played: Mar 2018 - Score: 86 Handicap: 23.6)

Course getting there, feel it would be a little better with slightly greater time allowance between tee times though as you don't even get even the slightest bit of time to search for any wayward shots as people are crammed onto the course non-stop rather than a bit of leeway between tee times.

I went there and the greeting I got was horrible, the staff did not seem happy to serve me and seemed a bit arrogant. But the course made me happy, good greens and the weather was perfect. Would come again if I were to get a happier employee.

Course in good condition. Range and academy very good, well run. Clubhouse is located in the former outbuilding (stables?) of Cookridge Hall, smallish but very 'period'.

£15 reduced rate as hollow tuning on green had commenced. Was excellent value.
Yellow Tees only and course plays far easier of them.
Be wary that if it has rained it will be wet here. The course does not drain well.

Fairways were very boggy on some holes even though we had no rain for a week and warm weather for 2-3 days, greens not very good for a course of this quality and cost. will try it again in the summer

Cookridge Hall was in good condition for the time of year. The greens in particular were very good, and for £22 for a early afternoon tee off time reflects a fair price for the quality of the course. Only drawback was an extremely slow 4 ball which had jammed the course up, first 3 holes took an hour to play! Will be back soon.

Course was very wet as you would imagine due to the amount of rain we have had. That said, the greens were in very good condition. One thing I was not informed of when booking is that all shots had to be played from a mat on the fairway, if I knew this, I would not have played although I did play pretty well!

An enjoyable round, my first of 2014. The course was extremely wet, mate used everywhere. However considering the recent weather I thought the course was in reasonable condition.
