Superb Improvements Made - You need to try it !
Styrrup is improving month by month under the new ownership. Bunkers are superb, greens like lightning, new hazards added, new tee boxes added, trees taken down and areas cleared. Food and drink has been upgraded along with the restaurant and toilet areas. There is an external coffee and snack machine by the first tee and this is just half of what I hear is planned. If you haven't been in the last year, you need to return as this course is fast becoming the course everyone wants to play because they know its stepped up its game. The layout is great and with really challenging holes like 3, 6, 9 and 16 to contend with it will challenge any golfer. I saw a review on here about holes crossing over each other, not sure why someone would put that as the actual holes don't cross its just the paths to the tee off points cross in a central area. I would recommend a visit as I am absolutely certain you will not be disappointed for the cost and quality.Reviewer Rating

Good Nick In Winter
Was our first visit to this course and we were pleasantly surprised , considering all the rain we have had, how good both the fairways and greens were. Most fairways and greens had a good roll on them and the only criticism we would have would be some of the holes cross over each other and the layout is a little confusing and better signage could be used to find the next tee! It will be good to go back there in the summer and see the difference and make a proper judgementReviewer Rating

Great nick and new procedures
I haven't played the course for over a year due to experiencing many other courses during lockdown, however what a pleasure to be back when it's in this good nick. New wristbands to show you've paid, a Marshall on tee 1 and the course in superb condition. The combination of long and short holes always gave it a better feel than other courses in the area and it weathers every type of conditions. Food and drink have always been top notch here and now they have made it all a bit more professional I can see only improvements in the future. We played on a Thursday twilight and paid ?13.75 each .. wow .. what a bargain !Reviewer Rating

Good value
Played mon 3rd feb. Having not played for a few months due to the prolonged wet South Yorkshire autumn/winter I was pleasantly surprised how dry the course was ( only a couple of wet areas on the 6th hole ) overall course played well, greens a little bobbily but nicely paced, on all normal tee boxes and the bunkers were in good condition ( ground staff were adding new sand on our visit) . Joined up with 2 other visitors as the pace was a little slow in front but stillThoroughly enjoyed our day for 15quid

Nice established tree lined course
A nice established tree lined course with one of the longest par 5's ever played (664 off yellows). Well set out in good condition, great clubhouse, excellent food, staff were welcoming. Will return again. Great value for money.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 92 Handicap: 18.3)

Lovely course
Well worth a visit, was surprised at the amount of green still on the fairways despite the draught! Greens kept well too, plays into the wind on alot of he holes which makes it a challenging course. Only negative was the distance between tee boxes, makes the course feel a little disjointed.Reviewer Rating

Soft but very playable.
Course was soft, as you'd expect at this time of year, but there were no temps in use and the greens were in reasonable nick. £15/round is also a fair price in my mind.(Round played: Feb 2018 - Score: 96 Handicap: 20.7)
