Well conditioned, picturesque stern test of golf. A friendly welcome was received along with a quick guide to the first few holes. On my visit the greens had recently been worked on. Visually they where not pleasant but putting on them was ok. I only noticed one deviation on my putts. Saying that they where fast especially downhill. If you are older, or unfit like me then don't carry your bag! My god i needed a taxi on some of the walks from greens to the next tee! I think that's the longest walk I have ever endured.

I played this course about 12 months ago and agreed with the previous comment about the greens being patchy in areas but played it again last week and the course was looking in fantastic condition. The greens have come on really well and play 75% better than last time I played. I only play here once or twice a year and its definitely getting better and better. A fairly young club (just celebrated their 10 year anniversary I understand) and the course is maturing very nicely with some ancient trees being utilised well in the course design too. There are some challenging holes with water coming into play on at least 5 of the 18. The clubhouse is impressive and the whole place is a really friendly, family run environment. I played as a green fee and the members too were very welcoming and friendly (unlike many other clubs in the area). A great young club that is fast becoming the top club in the area.

Worth a visit
Not my type of course as there are many blind holes, but still worth a visit. The course is well manicured (no grass cuttings on the fairways) and the greens are very true and moderately fast. Play was very slow but probably because it was very windy. Well worth the green fee plus a buggy was only £25.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 91 Handicap: 16.9)

Interesting course with excellent facilities
A most enjoyable weekend. Our second such visit.Good value for money with a package which included a night at the nearby Lion Quays Hotel.
All the club staff were friendly and helpful. Catering and bar facilities excellent.
The course is challenging although quite a bit of walking over the last few holes for older golfers. Reasonably priced buggies are available though.
Will return.

One word for this course: Immaculate. The greens are super fast and true and the fairways in excellent condition. This is a true test of golf which draws you in and puts a smile on your face from the very first shot. Parkland golf at its very best. Is it fussy of me to say that I thought some of the par 3s could benefit from a little extra length? Or is that just because I played them so badly?!

This course has improved each year we have played it.
Green had just been top dressed but we in great condition.

I played the course with my society It was the best conditioned course that we have played so far this year! Greens were superb, the was food excellent. A good test of golf for players of all abilities and well worth a visit. Score 79 handicap 12

Wonderful course in great condition. Quite undulating but not to deter less mobile golfers more augusta style. Greens carpet like but slow due to heavy rain. A course that looks very open but with very strategic placement of old oak trees making even a fairway hitting drive mean you may need to lay up before getting on the green. Realy enjoyed this course. Good practice facilities and friendly pro shop. Didnt try the bar so cant rate. Brilliant course and great value. Will play again.

lovely course, v nice greens (for time of year) and pretty dry, which given the weather at the moment (jan 2014) is an achievement.
