challenging course, course knowledge is a big help. greens in great condition along with the fairways. the only slight complaint is the members pace, everyone seemed to want to get round in under 2 hours and complain about the pace in front of them.

Superb

Played here yesterday and the course had been set up for the Pro Am which is taking place today. Met and chatted with Colin Montgomerie prior to teeing off so that was a good start!! Course was in the best condition I have seen it. Superbly maintained. Hopefully the water fountains will be reopened after next week as it was a scorcher and needed a lot of water to keep hydrated going round. Pace of play was excellent with not one hold up the whole round. Definately a must play if in the area.

Chart Hills

Set in lovely Kent countryside with a great clubhouse and facilities, this course has a character all of its own. Quite difficult with a variety of challenging holes and an undulating scenery. They are still finishing off some of the course improvements but an enjoyable place to play golf.

This at one point was obviously a very nice course but it needs a bit of attention to detail, someone needs to grip the green keepers to tidy up the holes. The bunkers are awful, the 18th green side bunker is a gravel pit - stay out at all costs. Some beautiful holes and some very shabby ones. It is a great test of golf and the club house is great. Very friendly staff superb service. They could do more with the back of the club house with seating areas. Classy but looking tired, living on a past reputation for a hefty price.

The course is great and is always in superb condition. Well worth a visit. The only issue I have is with the pathetic distance marking on the course. With allot of split level greens getting the distance wrong can make for some interesting first putts. They have a 150 yeard marker that is normally 10 to 15 yeards off the fairway and this makes guesing the yeardage difficult and impossible to pace out. For a course of this standing and cost not to provide more is simply wrong. I am guessing its not "traditional" will be the reason they have not done more.

Having only played one of the Three W's (West Hill) I was very much looking forward to playing this course and it really didn't disappoint. In fantastic condition given the time of year - the fairways were damp & muddy on a couple of early holes but otherwise superb and the greens were just fabulous. Played off the white sticks (the member said it wasn't worth playing from the yellows) and at just under 6500yds it was certainly intimidating at times with some long approach shots required. If you are struggling off the tee it will make it a long day and the greens have some very interesting slopes and undulations on them. Would love to go back to play this in the summer.

Fantastic heathland course. Bargain at £50 for a winter green fee. No one on the course, which was in excellent condition. Greens were still fast and true (even in 3rd week in December).

Worplesdon, in the heart of Surrey, adjoins Woking and West Hill courses, probably 3 of the best courses in surrey. Worplesdon is maintained to a very high standard and is a tough course. Shoot your handicap and you will be very pleased. Tough but fair, and if you get a chance to play there, take the opportunity.
