Couldn't even call this a pitch and putt , This place should be closed down for a few months to
Let the place rebuild itself.
It's got more mud then Glastonbury.
How people are writing good reviews for this place is beyond me,
You guys need to get out and play some proper courses.

It's the worse golf course I have ever played on.
Was like playing in a puddle.
They say they have fantastic water drainage , but the condition of this course is awful.
Would not waste your money. Go elsewhere .

bager problemsbut loverly setting
The course has been experiencing badger problems for some while now , they peel back the turf to find beetles that they feed on . Unfortunately this is making a mess of the fairways especially the 2nd ,3rd ,5th 7th . They have apparently started early this year . The new owners are putting a lot of money into the club course wise with new equipment and staff and have revamped the club. Decor not to the members taste bit like a hospital waiting room.Reviewer Rating

Friendly Course
February not the best time to play this course. The natural drainage mentioned on the website translates into sticky mud which completely clogs trolley progress, and is not cleaned off by the poorly powered blowers at the clubhouse. In contrast to the fairways the highly sloping greens were much better drained. The 10th &18th fall into to "trick shot" category. The rest of the layout is clear and straightforward.
All the staff and members met were welcoming. A light lunch was enjoyed in a pleasant clubhouse.

muddy, muddy track
Although the greens played quite well, the rest of the course was far too muddy, especially on the fairways!(Round played: Nov 2017 - Score: 80 Handicap: 9.1)

The course played very wet. Greens were soggy and bumpy due to heavy rainfall the night before. fairways were quite muddy underfoot.

Apart from the travelzoo nature of our day I found the course was in pretty poor condition for mid April. Tee boxes were poor and some not even level. The yellow tee markers were rusty and paint peeling off. The signage to the next tee was poor which annoys me as it's so simple. The fairways and ruff were ok with good distance markers at 100,150 & 200. The course isn't as tight as the course planner suggests on the woodlands manor website.
The green were the worst part of the course, very very sandy. I hit the 1st green from 100 yards and my ball bounced and kicked up lots of sand! The greens were all very lumpy bumpy because they had been spiked and with massive sand patched were very difficult to putt on and get any rhythm. The edges of the cups were scuffed and didn't have clean cut edges as you would expect.
The hole guide at each tee were sometimes weirdly in the wrong place, so when you were at the yellow tees you could only see the back of the board. Some of the yellow tees had been moved to red markers but some yellow tee yardage markers were missing as far as we could see.
Some of the bunker early on didn't look great from the look of them. Later in the round the sand changed. One of the bunkers I went in had a broken rake.
The course was quite testing with a lot of undulating fairways and changes in elevation. On one fairway at 150 yards we had blind shots into the green, which means hit a hope for the best.
All in all not a great experience, I certainly wouldn't pay £35-40 to play this course.
Last point, nice friendly pro shop and bar staff. Shame the bar staff couldn't get an order of two bacon rolls right and had to take one back and do it again.

Nice course
Lovely course with very well maintained greens. Range balls leave a lot to be desired though - many had chunks missing and the price was quite highReviewer Rating
