Beautiful Devon coursehotel an

A jewel in a beautiful part of Devon, Challenging course with a variety of slopes trees and lakes in excellent condition. The hotel provides spacious and comfortable rooms with superb views over the course. The attached pool and gym complex is also excellent All staff in the golf, hotel and polka were friendly and welcoming, certainly a course to revisit.

A Jones

We were visiting the area and decided to play woodbury park. This is an excellent course. We were greeted and made welcome by the pro. The course itself is a parkland course with a mixture of holes with dog legs, water and bunkers all making them challenging. The course had several shorter holes but very well placed bunkers and undulating greens certainly made for tough scoring. We were very impressed with the greens which were a pleasure to play. The finishing hole is a beautiful little hole overlooked by the clubhouse. Post golf we enjoyed a drink and food which was reasonably priced. This is a must play course if in the area.

Excellent weekend break

Very impressed with the course on the whole, tee boxes and greens were super. Half way house was a definite bonus and much needed stop! Sausage rolls and pasties were great. All staff thoroughly helpful, especially in the bar. Made to feel extremely welcome.

Lovely course - worth a visit

Well thought out course that is pretty challenging. It's not really a course that you can just go out there and bash big drives on every hole, pays to have a little bit of thought of the tee, Greens are a good test and are always in great condition.
Great place to have a drink after as well, the view from the club house terrace is one of the best.

Fantastic course. Absolute drama, the mighty Malcolm with a respectable 52 on the fright 9 in comparison to a horror 56 from Lord Pigeon. Pigeon lost multiple balls, struggling off the tee. Malcolm with a fantastic driving and short game display. With a lot to do on the back 9 Pigeon started well, recovering 1 shot through 11. On the 12th tee (Ducky) Pigeon gifted Malcom hitting a 10 to Malcolm’s 6, game over Malcolm 7 up 6 to play. Que 13th (Drakes Island) unlucky for some...In this case Malcolm, walks off with a 10 Pigeon with a 5. Malcolm 2 up 5 to play Pigeon with a lot to do. 14/15th stalemate. 16th tee (Buzzard) a long par 5. Pigeon puts his new back into action with 2 thunder bastard strikes, knocking the white off, Birdie, Malcolm 6 evens. Malcolm has dropped a 7 stroke lead. Scenes. 17th (Squirells) Full of confidence Pigeon to tee, great strike. Malcolm struggling to come to terms with the come back looses his nut, holes for a 7, Pigeon long putt holes for a 5, Pigeon 2 up against the run of play. Game over strolling up to a picturesque par 3 in front of a busy club house. Pigeon is wet, Malcolm fantastic strike just off the green. Pigeon re tee, Pigeon is wide left he’s lost it, shaking he steps up to strike his 5th shot, it’s on the dance floor. The crowd are in disarray at the melt down. Wait! Pigeon finds his second ball, all to play for from deep rough he’s on. Malcolm great pitch, putting for par, Pigeon for 5 a lot to do. He putts...close within 1ft...Malcolm from 3ft...He sinks it! A 2 up lead squandered by Pigeon ABSOLUTE SCENES!!!

Outstanding value short break

The ?lazy Sunday ? deal (?114) for 2 rounds of golf on the Oaks Championship course plus ala carte dinner, bed and breakfast is fantastic value.
The course is challenging and in perfect condition. The 5* hotel on site is faultless. The food in the Atrium restaurant is fabulous. My only comment would be the stewed and weak coffee at breakfast.
