Very Average

Prices have sky rocketed in recent months for a round plus an extra £1 on a bucket of 50 balls now making it £7.
Just checked on their website and they wanted £90 for a one or two ball.
The course is very average, there has been some improvements to the greens but the fairways are still poor and the price there asking is way too high for this course.
I do not recommend playing this course until they drop the price to about £25 in the week, that's all it's worth.

We have played the course many times and think it is excellent in every way but because of very wet conditions and the Coronavirus situation we did use all of the facilities. The club had made some changes on the course re the virus - no rakes, ball washing facility taped up so as not to use and the holes were inverted so that putts would not drop and stayed within easy access - all appreciated. Staff as usual great but although the greens were excellent even though they had been sanded, lots of the course was very wet and probably should not have been open. Because of this I think the price should have been lowered. Will always return and play again as it is a great course

Not a welcoming experience in spite of playing as a members guest. Reception staff rather off hand and don't get me started with the groundsmen! First visit after a number of years and probably won't rush back. Course really isn't in a condition befitting of the green fees.

First visit in late April 2010 during a dry spell. Course is quite flat and still has that " new course " feel. The large scale tree planting has still to really take effect and give the course some real shape. Although called Witney Lakes there are not an excessive amount of water hazards. With the broad fairways and short grass under the trees it is quite forgiving for the high handicap player.

Not the best in the world, but playable at least! Pro's are great and the club is nice and relaxed for people who just want to enjoy a round of golf at the weekend!

A relatively new course, has had a few teething problems with the greens over the past couple of years. Recently has had the greens sanded/treated and was in need of rolling. The fairways are ok, as are the approaches. The bunkers have recently had new sand put in them and are a delight to play from! There are thousands of new trees all over the course, but due to the course being constructed on a heavily clay based soil, they are taking an age to grow. Not a bad parkland course, and with a member, very good value for money.

Country Club Golf Course

Woodland course, with several water hazard holes. Challenging & enjoyable. As it's a leisure/country club first & foremost, the golf club side has a sterile feel to it. Good mixture of Par 3s, 4s & 5s. One downside is that there is a poultry farm very close by, and the stink is sometimes quite overpowering, especially when wet, and the wind is blowing towards you!..

Good holes

Good course layout with some good holes. Greens excellent. Fairways poor. In the summer would imagine will be bare. Requires investment in sorting out the fairways. If they do be a very good course.

Good course with nice shaped holes

Some good holes here of reasonable length, proper par 4?s with a drive and long iron into the green. Nice and tight now trees are growing and greens are ok. Only minor point is it is bit boggy in places but we have had a lot or rain
