Played here in April course was so waterlogged that it should have been shut. I would suggest playing off mats if the course is as wet as this so you can protect the fairways.The greens had so many pitch marks we spent longer sorting them than we did putting. We didn't get enough trolleys for our group as the handles had not been returned from previous golfers.

I found the course quite boring, with little in the way of memorable holes. The greens also needed quite a lot of work to bring them up to the standard of nearby Sale and Chortlon.
Many the holes go up and down on each other. Distance off the tee can be sacrificed for accuracy.

Nice course but not challenging
I played on my own this morning 9.30. Never played before. Three ball of members in front of me refused to let me through. Another four ball behind decided as I was waiting for these three in front to try and drive through me on the fairway to speed me up. Luckily his little baby drive was about thirty yards behind me but the point is the players say a lot about a club and to experience such poor etiquette in front and behind me means I won’t be going back to Withington. I walked off after 9 as it was taking an eternity with no sign of them letting me go through. It’s a shame as I imagine the course is decent in summer. Lots of developed trees and the greens were half decent.Reviewer Rating

Scenic parkland course good for all handicappers demanding accuracy.Fairways in good condition. Greens a bit bobbly and had fair amount of debris following strong winds
