Pleasure to play
I enjoyed playing Wishaw as it is beautifully kept and has some interesting and challenging holes. To go for it or lay up is a poser for some of the holes. Greens are immaculate and worth arriving on them.I'm looking forward to playing there again soon !

Playing its best
Lovely to see this course now playing it's best after the waterlogged course of the winter. Greens were in superb condition as were the fairways.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 93 Handicap: 24.2)

Big price increase
Played here a few times a year but price just gone up substantially. Lovely course but now overpriced at £30. Good condition, good pace of play.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 96 Handicap: 16.3)

Fantastic condition
After the six week lay off the course was in fantastic conditionFairways firm and fast with good run out
The second cut penalising if way ward
The greens in good condition not mid speed not in a competition speed or condition yet
All off this set up is understandably after the shut down and first week back

Quite boggy but we've had a lot of rain!!!
Only 16 of the 18 open for play with a few temporary tees and greens. Very wet underfoot and muddy in between holes. Having said that the normal greens were in pretty good condition considering the rain we've had. Best to phone ahead as the course has been closed a few times because of the weather.Reviewer Rating

lovely course
Wishaw is a lovely course, well looked after, only bad part about this course is the 18th hole, it's to damn steep lol. Aprt from that the course is fairly flat. well worth a visit.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 92 Handicap: 19.6)

Course with great character
Greens were a bit slow and the course hole directional signs could be better. The whole course was of a very good standard but for 2 temporary greens but 1 they have a great kidney bean shaped green waiting to be opened. There were ponds 1st hole and the signature 10th hole I wish I could play those again. Bunkers and OB areas made the course a real challenge. Friendly hard working staff and I whole heartedly recommend the place.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 97 Handicap: 17.9)

out of the way
A short course often uses winter greens in poor weather. can be wind affected.Greens are tiny and difficult to stop shots on. Greens were very slow on the day we played after heavy rain.
Not a lot in terms of practice/warm-up facilities.
Staff were friendly enough. Very cheap to play as a casual visitor so value for money but don't ex[ect a lot.

Stiff Challenge
Due to remapping on four hole and a chance in the first and second cuts of grass.Wishaw course has become a lot harder this year approximately 1 to 1.5 shots per hole for the regular golfer.

Will be good when finished
The course is in a transitional phase at the moment and four holes are on temps with the twelve being in a very bad condition but by the end of next month the new course should be in play so fingers crossed(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: 15.4)
