Personally I found this course very disappointing. Front 9 is basically just straight back and forth with no real hazards apart from 1st which I found a very strange hole. Back 9 is better but found the general condition of the course to be poor.

Really a good warm up course to the big beasts in the area but has some very interesting holes particularly if you play off the whites.

Unfortuntely we played the course on a day when the conditions were terrible - extremely high winds! The course was decent, thought the greens were in good nick. 8 Par threes though!

Nice course good value
Visited course and played with friends, nice course and very good value, unfortunately greens were sanded heavily which made putting on them very difficult. However scenery spectacular and course otherwise in very good condition.Would play it again

The course is no beauty but you have to think your way round or it will punish you. Throughly enjoyed it.

It's a short course, which suits my game-the first is a Par 3 witha carry of 230yds over a gorge-don't worry you can bail out.
Thankfully they've cut back the previously penal rough, it's a holiday course, this makes it much easier and also enjoyable as you don't spend the round trudging through the long grass. The scenery is magnificent, Bass Rock, The Law and over to Fife. The day I played it was incredibly calm but as it's on a point the wind will blow and create a challenge.
Favourite hole is the 14th, par3 180+ with the shore, rocks all the way down the left and a steep green-I bailed out to the right-fearty!
Never been in the clubhouse so can't comment.Greenfeesavers as usual!

First hole is a cracker rest of the course is not as daunting and a good mix between parkland and links, some fantastic views over the Firth of Forth.

The first at this course is one of the best opening holes I've ever encountered. The rest of the course is not exactly demanding but is a great mix of Parkland and links. If the wind blows and the rough is uncut, make sure you have plenty of balls with you.

Best value Links golf in East Lothian.... fantastic views over Belhaven Bay. Like everywhere in 2022 the course was very dry but the greens were excellent.

Long par 3’s
This was meant to be an easy start to our golf trip to Scotland, buti was needing my driver on some of the par 3s and therewas a few. The opening hole par 3 over a ravine was over 200yards, there were some lovely holes with great views. Greens were hard if you can get spin on the ball you stand a chance to hold them, i can’t. But a lovely course and friendly staff(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 80 Handicap: 14.3)

This is a wee cracker of a course. Front nine look simple, but, I can assure you they are NOT. I have played this every year for the last 4 or 5 on my annual trip up to Dunbar.
Average length of all 8 par 3's is 205 yds, but 2 of these are much shorter at 140 yds – the real average is nearer 230. This real average makes the holes in question a much sterner test of golf. The greens are real devils to read, especially the back nine.
True, the rough can be treacherous, but we all know the answer - don't go in it!
If I lived there, I would join as a member! Alas, I do not!

Short but a pleasure to play
A very short course but very enjoyable to play. Great views, some tricky holes needing you to keep it in play. Stunning first hole gives you a thinking challenge straight the way. Lovely catering, excellent welcome, decent stocked shop, nice clubhouse. Don't let the shortness of length and par put you off visiting, it is well worth it.Reviewer Rating
