Wildwood is a bit of an interesting one. It has potential to be very good but it's clear that it falls short. The course is okay, quite wet even when played in September so I'm pleased we didn't play any later in the year. There aren't any memorable holes to speak of but that's not to say that the holes are bad, they are just....ok. That clubhouse is is very nice but the staff and service was mixed. We got told to go up the stairs to the bar as we were in golf shoes, only to be told when we'd been in there for 20 minutes by the same member of staff that golf shoes weren't allowed in that area. We confirmed our tee time with the pro shop and he said we couldn't go at that time as there was a Society off at that time.....we were the Society. I had to chase the club for confirmation of booking and get menu choices etc as they didn't bother to send these out. All in all I'd say less that satisfactory and the course is only satisfactory.

Coldest day so far! fairways are cut to fine and lots of bare lies. Wind was brutal!

playing on a course with frozen greens is ludicrous! you have to bump and run all approaches like playing on a hard links course.

the course played very long due to the muddy conditions. Bunkers were deemed GUR greens were very soft and bumpy. very hard to one putt

Whilst the course is a good test and very well laid out with some interesting holes, it desperately needs some work done on the drainage.

This is the second time I have played here and unfortunately I won't be going back unless it's in the summer and dry!

Staff could do with a lesson in customer service, ie saying please and thank you when serving, customers.
Also when chipping to pratice green was told no, by what I would guess to be a member, there is no chipping around the green!
when we questioned this as there was no sign to say no chipping, was told the green keepers must have left it off, when they cut it.
don't belive that for one minute as freind is a greenkeeper, and he never does that.
suggest club invest in a few sighs to say no chipping for the future.
cost of sigh £15-£20 pounds
bad reflection on the club ...and members .. no comment

Greens and fairways were in good condition and overall course played well but bunkers definitely need looking at as that could only loosely be referred to as sand.
