One of the best layouts in the northeast of England, and new greenkeeper seems to be getting the course into the best condition in many many years. Quite long, but fair. Back 9 very strong, with a brutal par 5 (12th) which is justifiably (and unusually) the stroke index 1 hole. Last 5 holes are brilliant. Friendly new pro too. A club on the way up!

Really warm welcome and good course to match.
Played week after 7 weeks of rain but course held up well and greens were excellent concidering the amount of rain and difficulty with cutting them.
Overall a good course and worth a visit.
Watch out for the final 5 holes as your card could be easily wrecked and the 12 is a monster of a par 5 with lots happening to come away with anything over 7.

A good variety of holes, with some great challenges on the long par 5, hole 12 and ravines across serveral holes.
Greens could be better, a little tufty in places allowing the ball to bobble of course.
19th hole very clean and great value!

A fine days golf on an interesting and varied course. Good condition fairways and neat if slightly slow greens. A course I will need to play several times to feel I have taken in and to do justice to.

Course is now in good nick, but could do with a closer cut. greens a little slow but can't complain due to the amount of rain we have had. Play it just for the par 5 no.12 superb will give you nightmares!
