Great course not for the faint hearted
Great courseVery well laid out very tricky holes and some really long hole too
Very friendly staff and great value for money
Although there is no practice area this is something to improve on
Overall great course some of the bunkers are under refurbishment but didn’t effect the game one bit

We were told on arrival that we could have had a bacon sandwich and coffee plus golf for £15 if we had booked through the hotel on site. We would have done that, but nobody was answering the phones for four days.
Several of us had a coffee and a bacon sandwich. The coffee was £1.95 for a small cup and was instant coffee. The bacon sandwich was no better, white factory bread with two rashers of bacon which, if sliced any thinner would have been see through (some praise, the bacon was lovely and crispy!).
The course was worse than last year. All the bunkers are now classed as GUR. The tees are terrible. Grass cutting seems to have been reduced to a minimum. Some fairways are a lot narrower than last year, the grass is now left uncut between and under trees, slowing down the game considerably for golfers of our standard.
Yes, the course is still beautiful with gorgeous views of Staffordshire, but the maintenance and organisation is sadly lacking.

The greens and fairways were in good condition, although it appears that no one knows how to rake a bunker here.
Not an easy walking course though as there are a few decent climbs if you're playing it twice.
Really good value and certainly worth playing.

First visit, nice little course.
My partner and I, really enjoyed the course. Interesting holes, tricky greens and some stunning views. Definately worth a visit, especially for the cost. Thanks ;0)Reviewer Rating

A beautiful 9 whole course.
I am a member, of WHGC, that may make one think I'm biased. However, I have paid the annual subscription when I had plenty of opportunities to go elsewhere, and perhaps that's says more than anything I can say. In a nutshell this is a challenging, though not to long course, that is in as good a condition as any other course in The area. Try it or talk to someone who has, and you will be delighted.Reviewer Rating
