A great test for all golfers
Wetherby golf course appears fairly timid from the scorecard although it’s beauty strikes you as you work your way around the course. As timid as you might expect the course to be, let me warn you that the course has teeth. A strategic approach is needed as if out of position at any point your scorecard can soon rack up a 6,7 or 8! A numerous number of inviting fairways from the tee (2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 15 & 16 based on current layout) soon narrows at landing points to make the tee shot far more difficult than expected and greens are well guarded by excellent bunker positioning. Whilst you won’t lose many balls around Wetherby, you must be straight in order to play to your handicap around here. The greens are fast and true (following a welcome good spell of weather) and once 17 & 18 are open in June 2018, this course will become one of the best courses in the area once more. The condition of the course is currently fantastic so if the opportunity arises, I would highly recommend you give the course a try.Reviewer Rating

Excellent course, long and testing enough to make it interesting but not overly penal. Greens couldn't have been in better condition when we played.

Since last time played hear, they have moved around the course, i thought to set up was better before, the greens were 100% the fair ways were 100%,
what a great setting and a very well matured golf course.

Course in great condition. Flat but has some interesting holes and is a decent challenge. Nice bar area and good practice facilities.

played many times teed off at 3.15 after the captains event greens fairways were in perfect condition sand in bunkers perfect to play out of decent round scored 92 handicap of 21

Played this course twice in a week and went back the second time as it was value for money and such a lovely course. Greens are not yet 100% as they have been spiked and sanded but in another week they will be excellent.

The new holes are maturing nicely. Course in excellent condition and challenging. Spectacular new elevated first tee.
