Shame
Played this course for years .shame to see it like it is at the moment changes that have been made to the fair ways and rough are styled. Course was always a good course for the avarage golfer and for the older player and ladies who can't drive a ball along way . Now if you miss hit off drive off line you are met with rough that is so thick to get out of .and even if you do drive straight you find yourself in rough randemley left across the fairway. Very disappointed .dont think they have fought off there target ordinance.Reviewer Rating

Not a favourite course but it's fairly close (to me) and you can usually get on it without a wait, I use it for beginners because it's quiet and they don't get flustered. The greens are closely cropped meadow not made up greens so not receptive, good for practising links style approaches though.
The course is usually in good condition, although the greens can quite often require mowing and always need rolling, but then - 'play it as it lies'
The facilities consist of toilets, a catering van that's open during normal working hours and a hut with a pay and display machine for green fees - which doesn't take the new £5 note.

Westonbirt golf course is a little unusual as it doesn’t really have a club house. However the people on the course were friendly and it appears to have a casual following. The holes are generally short but with large trees either side of the fairway a driver is not always the best option, making it tactical.
The day I played I was disappointed that the yellow tees were quite far forwards, also the green were in poor condition. I don’t consider this particularly good value for money dispite it only costing £10.

A short nine hole course, in the beautiful Cotswold countryside. The club house facilities here are very sparse.

Very plesent and simple course. Very good for me as I'm just learning, and nice big fairways and forgiving rough areas. No sand/water hazards though. But nice day out and friendly people.

Good course for people learning the game. Although the course isn't very long, it does offer some challenging holes. The short par 3's may not be as easy as expected.

No bunkers or water hazards, but plenty of ways of getting into trouble. Tight par 3s and tempting fairways with trees and fields lying in wait. A great course for beginners.

Need to book a tee time online now due to Covid on eventbritePrice has also gone up
On average, 9 holes of golf will take approximately 90 minutes.
Monday - Friday: £11.37 for 9 holes or £14.11 for 18 holes
Weekends: £15.68 for 9 holes or £18.42 for 18 holes
Price includes access to play 9 or 18 holes for 1 player.

Cotswold Beauty
The Westonbirt course is a delight to play. No too challenging, for beginners like me (no bunkers or water features) but beautiful countryside. The only hazards were free-roaming deer!(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 110 Handicap: )
