Recently joined club and very impressed with condition of course and greens. Also concrete pathway ensures play even in very wet conditions.

A challenging, though not particularly long course with an island 18th for a bit of fun at the end. Very relaxed feel about the place and good bar facilities (overlooking said island green for entertainment...).

this is a lovely course to play even if it was slightly waterlogged in places we went after 4pm for £10 a round and thouroughly enjoyed it will be going back very soon.

Played the course today. It was blowing a gale with heavy showers, but despite this thoroughly enjoyed the course. The greens were in very good condition, if a bit slow as were the tees. This is a relatively new course with young trees and occasionally thin fairways, however everything was well cared for and it will mature nicely with time. There are also some nicely thought out holes, particularly the 18th with it's island green.
I have seen some comments about the staff and facilities, however, we didn't really go into the clubhouse so can't comment, although the clubhouse looked pretty good from the what I saw.

Played a round at 1500 on a Saturday afternoon in April - very disappointed with our experience. What could, and should be a fantastic course was let down by several key failings;
1) The pro-shop staff were wide asleep, unhelpful and very s-l-o-w
2) Arriving on the 1st tee five minutes before our tee time we had to wait for two fourballs to tee off, with other groups collecting behind us - there appeared to be no respect for tee times at all
3) The round itself was painfully slow with four-balls clogging up every hole and making no attempt to call groups through. It took us 5 hours to get round, with the majority of the time spent twiddling out thumbs on the tees/fairways
4) There appeared to be an unusually high concentration of muppets out on the course today with people driving dangerously close to us on many occasions.
5) Greens very poor - incredibly slow and bobbly. Have played over ten rounds this year on a variety of courses and really not impressed by these at all.
6) Tee boxes full of divots, uneven and longer than the 1st cut
Positives;
- Good layout with nice use of mounding, raised greens and water features. Even the shorter par fours were cleverly bunkered and more than just a drive an pitch hole.
- Nice blind tee shots on occasion
- Consistent bunker quality
- Good food in the bar and the Masters on the large flat screen
In conclusion I would come back to play this course, but only very early in the morning and only if the greens improve. Avoid like the plague on summer weekends / weekday aftertnoons!

Long course with a lot of water hazardous to make you think. Course was fairly wet in places but this was to be expected. If you can keep the ball on the short grass a good score is possible

Good condition despite all the rain, first nine holes were muddy in places. The greens were very good and true, tricky in places.

Challenging with some unique holes
Always find this a bit challenging. Buggies are plentiful to take the struggle out of it. There are of course the unusual Devil's Hole 666 yards par 6 and the final 18th over the water. Lots of fun on that last one. Nice bar too with outside seating and food as well.Reviewer Rating
