This could be a very good course overall however the attitude of the employees made it very poor. Due to their inability to make visitors welcome and trying to pack as many 4 balls together within 5mins of each other during Winter conditions when daylight was a premium made the day very UNENJOYABLE. The start master kept going round to everybody to tell them to keep up when there was no need as each group was no more than 1/2 a hole behind. Rushing people just made it worse as people made mistakes and duffed shots which meant even longer to get to the damn hole. Overall very disappointing especially when seeing the much anticipated 18th signature online.

They want to spend more money on the course, than making the club house look like something from the states..!! I emagine this course would be ok, If 1 the greens were actually putable, 2 the bunkers had sand in rather than a few bags of building sand, 3 the green keeper actually got out of bed and looked after the course.. tee's, fairways, greens were in horrendous condition..!! although it was cheap @ £15... there are more offers out there at better courses.. will not be going back thats for sure..

Disappointed

The greens and tees were in poor condition and the rough had been cut but cutting left and any ball in the rough was lost
All in all disappointing conditions

Give it a try

Very long course, plenty of chances to get your fairway woods out. Not as easy as it looks. Good Elevated Tees and good size Greens, however greens very patchy and sometimes difficult to putt on. Best played in the summer months.

Played around here last week and although it has improved it is still not a patch on some of the Members clubs in the area. Yes it has a nice hole over water but the rest of the course is still massively lacking

Played a round at 1500 on a Saturday afternoon in April - very disappointed with our experience. What could, and should be a fantastic course was let down by several key failings;

1) The pro-shop staff were wide asleep, unhelpful and very s-l-o-w

2) Arriving on the 1st tee five minutes before our tee time we had to wait for two fourballs to tee off, with other groups collecting behind us - there appeared to be no respect for tee times at all

3) The round itself was painfully slow with four-balls clogging up every hole and making no attempt to call groups through. It took us 5 hours to get round, with the majority of the time spent twiddling out thumbs on the tees/fairways

4) There appeared to be an unusually high concentration of muppets out on the course today with people driving dangerously close to us on many occasions.

5) Greens very poor - incredibly slow and bobbly. Have played over ten rounds this year on a variety of courses and really not impressed by these at all.

6) Tee boxes full of divots, uneven and longer than the 1st cut

Positives;

- Good layout with nice use of mounding, raised greens and water features. Even the shorter par fours were cleverly bunkered and more than just a drive an pitch hole.
- Nice blind tee shots on occasion
- Consistent bunker quality
- Good food in the bar and the Masters on the large flat screen

In conclusion I would come back to play this course, but only very early in the morning and only if the greens improve. Avoid like the plague on summer weekends / weekday aftertnoons!

This course could be really nice but just needs some tlc. It?s so frustrating playing here and seeing it?s potential and it not getting anywhere near it.

Not my favourite course if honest, the greens and tee blocks weren?t in the best condition due to the wet weather and being over used during this period.

However, some great holes course suits the big hitters

Enjoyable course

Nice modern course offering a good chance to score well. Quite long and includes the novelty, long (albeit bland) Par 6. The course is quite undulating but with good course management is very scoreable. Terrific finishing hole, par 3 island green in the middle of a fishing lake, but just a wedge so nothing too tricky
