Great course
After reading some reviews before we booked the course, I was a little sceptical about the length and difficulty of the course, being as it's not overly long. I needn't have worried. It's a fantastic course, with plenty of challenging holes that will have you using most, if not all of your clubs. The course itself after days of heavy rain was in great condition, and the greens were some of the best I've played on all summer. The ravine/gulley which crosses the course, gives and makes shot selection on each hole a different problem. Yet for the brave among us, can sometimes (If the winds with you) challenge the distances. Even the par three's are good in their settings, making you think of the shot/club needed. All round the club and course were well worth a visit and it's a course now having found and played it, will be playing again.Reviewer Rating

Friendly Pro. Nice clean clubhouse. Course is a good challenge. The greens are excellent and very true. An interesting oasis in the middle of Oldham. Very worth a visit.

Played here on Sunday 4th Sept. with St. Anne's golf society Keighley. What a great club, After Saturday's terrible weather the course was in excellent condition. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel really welcome before and after our game with the club. A first class day was had by all.

Played here again today 14th June and scored a good card. Course in great condition, some greens need a bit more work on them but overall brilliant. I'd like to add that the club professional James is doing a great job always going the extra mile to accommodate visiting golfers, club members are just great to get on with too.

20-07-14 Today we played a round at Werneth Golf Club in Oldham, the clubhouse is a good size with a superb breakfast plenty on for £3.50 excellent value. The fairways are medium with a little room for error, they are in good condition with a couple of bunkers to watch out for and this adds to the round making it a challenge at times. the greens are 100% superb on every hole the best we have played this year we were very impressed with them. the general play is a solid 7-10 you are either laying up or going for it which for any developing golfer like ourselves it was great fun. This course is definitely worth a knock and at £15.00 its a bargain at the weekend. what would i change? the tees are at times a little confusing maybe a few signs with next tee this way would stop the confusion, i would also print the course on the back of the round card again to make the course easier to follow, If you are looking for a challenging round with a warm freindly welcome i recommend this course, superb. on arrival a member of staff was very helpfull in the club house. the course was exerlent value for money. and the other locals were very helpfull because we did not know the course it was no trouble for them to take time to guide us. the clubhouse was a credit to the club with freindly staff.overall great day out.we will go back.a.speed
